Green on Blue

Green on Blue: A NovelGreen on Blue: A Novel by Elliot Ackerman
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Mr. Ackerman's words bring this brutal conflict into perspective like no other account I have read. The words of young Aziz, say it all:

“The militants fought to protect us from the Americans,” says Aziz, the young Afghan narrator of Green on Blue, “and the Americans fought to protect us from the militants, and being so protected, life was very dangerous.”

The Dress Shop of DreamsThe Dress Shop of Dreams by Menna van Praag
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of this book.

The author's use of colors makes this book come to life! It is easy to imagine all the dresses in the shop, just waiting for the right person to come in. Highly enjoyable book with enough of a story to make it interesting.
